Any thoughts on how to fix this? My two ideas are 1) generate a "template" save file and copy/hack each player into it 2) fix the game version to what trunk is on Monday. But both are awkward/ugly 15:17:27 sounds like you'd just want to run it on stable 15:18:02 if you're very intent on it being trunk, fixing the version of trunk you use and not upgrading games is probably the only good way 15:18:37 weekly challenges on trunk are already inherently awkward since the game can just change drastically mid-week 15:19:03 and the whole point of having seed stability is that people play the same game 15:20:09 but if you want a compromise on that and still get trunk, you probably just have to fix the trunk version at the start of the challenge, and have it so that the challenge only plays that version 15:20:47 yeah. That may be the best solution 15:20:48 it doesn't make a lot of sense to have seed stability but then let people playing the challenge half-way through the week not experience some bug/reverted change/whatever that people at the start of the week experienced 15:22:36 i'm pretty much fine with any trunk change that leaves the dungeon the same 15:23:04 but letting the version vary up to "next change with des updates" seemss even more complicated 15:24:44 tbh i'll probably just leave as-is. There have only been a handful of des changes this year that affect seeding 15:47:26 03Byrel Mitchell02 07https://github.com/crawl/crawl/pull/1290 * 0.25-a0-414-g527cd2a: Modifies five vaults in large.des to add tactics 10(3 minutes ago, 1 file, 24+ 52-) 13https://github.com/crawl/crawl/commit/527cd2aaa855 16:04:51 alexjurkiewicz: https://github.com/Rytisgit/DCSSReplay 17:22:30 :O :O :O 17:23:33 wonder if it can run through mono on linux 17:23:36 wait what does this do? 17:23:37 I'm guessing not 17:23:47 it reads a ttyrec and displays it as a webtiles window? 17:23:51 yeah 17:23:58 but it's imperfect, because you miss info like onster weapons, etc 17:23:58 or that's what it seemed to do 17:24:14 right, it's kind of a hack, but a cool one 17:48:28 was there a korean project to record webtiles json commands and replay them? 17:54:46 yes, you can record from webtiles, which gives you a text file download at the end of the game; not sure if the recording is limited 17:54:53 and then you can replay the json file in webtiles 17:55:04 the problem is all sorts of changes will break playback 18:22:55 Unstable branch on underhound.eu updated to: 0.25-a0-547-g27a0b5d1ef (34) 20:59:36 -!- amalloy is now known as amalloy_ 22:17:16 Trunk update: http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/trunk-updates-21-february-2020
